Two College Opens In The Same Weekend
Marlee Solomon (Canon-McMillan, PA) just snagged USA Wrestling’s Athlete of the Week, and honestly… she earned it the loud way.
Over one weekend, this high-school junior won two college-level tournaments back-to-back — the ultra-tough Missouri Valley Open and the Baldwin Wallace Open. She tore through brackets with pins, tech falls, and big-name wins, including taking out a U17 World Champion and finishing the MoVal finals with a fall in 3:31.
Then she woke up the next morning and did it all again.
Marlee is currently ranked #3 in the nation at 115 lbs, with multiple national podium finishes to her name — and clearly, she’s just getting started.
Congratulations Wrestlers!
